Cadenza, derived from the Italian word "cadence," refers to a segment within a musical performance, usually a concert, where the orchestra stops playing so that the soloist can perform independently, without being bound by a strict rhythmic pattern.
This solo section, known as a cadenza, usually shows the most graceful and virtuosic passage performed by the solo instrument during the composition. As soon as the cadenza ends, the orchestra resumes its playing, often leading to the climax of the piece.

High performance
Accuracy level
The Cadenza Blue is true to the music with tremendous clarity.
The Cadenza Blue model uses a Nude FG 70 stylus with a very thin ruby cantilever. The coils are made of 6NX (99.9999%) pure silver wire. An improved winding process on the armature provides better channel balance.
The soundstage of the Cadenza Blue is wide and grandiose right out of the box. Microdynamics and ambience will be evident when listening to complex compositions. It achieves a very high degree of definition in perspective, which is very present.
Performance Increase
The Cadenza Series
At Ortofon, we constantly strive to integrate new technologies into our products and advance the advancement of current technologies. This dedication ensures the achievement of the highest performance and quality. The Kontrapunkt models and MC Jubilee have set standards in the market and have become some of our most sought-after cartridges. Despite this success, Ortofon has chosen to develop a new cartridge series that aims even higher.
Each of the five Cadenza Series cartridges has its own individual sonic expression, and all five models together represent the ensemble of five classic variations.
The MC Cadenza Blue adds more dynamics and resolution, sounds more open and reproduces more detail.
